Welcome to The Little Red Schoolhouse of Montessori

It is a comfortable place in which the child discovers his/her world and build who he/she is as an individual.
It is a prepared environment, purposefully created to draw in the child through his/her sense of curiosity and natural interest.
It is a place that gives the child the tools to teach him/herself and learn through his/her own discovery.
Each work is designed to teach the child various skills such as order, concentration, coordination, control and confidence.
It is a unique environment that gives the child the confidence and self-esteem to guide themselves to success.
The teacher counts success when the child can freely work and teach him/herself.

Ideally, the children who attend the program will do so for the full three years. Every day in a Montessori environment gives the child new opportunities to discover and create him/herself. Through the full program, the child can leave with the love for learning and love for others fostered in the uniqueness of The Little Red Schoolhouse of Montessori.

The founder of the method, Dr. Maria Montessori, felt that young children learn by doing, and that they become self-disciplined by concentrating on purposeful activities. The materials accommodate children of different age levels, with various levels of ability. The younger children emulate the older ones, and they are stimulated to work with more challenging activities.
